NEWS RELEASE: CDRA Elects New Executive Committee & Board Member

Chicago, IL (February 29, 2024) – At its Annual Membership Meeting, the Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) elected new officers and an additional member to its Board of Directors.

According to Terri Ward, CDRA’s new Executive Director/CEO, “CDRA is fortunate to have such a respected group of industry leaders guiding the Association, with an ambitious strategic plan to expand the industry’s influence and promote the economic and environmental benefits of recycled building materials. In addition to both large and small recyclers, the Board represents major waste management companies, construction and demolition contractors, technology providers, and environmental consultants. More so now than ever, we’re able to have important discussions with all industry stakeholders at the table.”

CDRA’s new Executive Committee includes:

  • President John Thomas, Mount Materials; Berlin, NJ
  • Vice President Bernard Styer, American Demolition; Egg Harbor Township, NJ
  • Treasurer William Cooper, Cooper Recycling; Brooklyn, NY
  • Secretary Brock Hill, Premier Recycle; San Jose, CA
  • Member At Large Brandon Lapsys, Viably; Denver, CO
  • Immediate Past President Jason Haus, Dem-Con Companies, Shakopee, MN

New Board Member Lenzie Johnson, Jr., of L&J Processing Facility Corp., Baltimore, MD, was also elected.

The CDRA's Annual Membership Meeting took place during 2024 C&D World Conference & Exhibition, Jan. 31 to Feb. 2 in Bonita Springs, Florida. The event was well attended, reported by CDRA to be their most successful to date.



The Construction & Demolition Recycling Association promotes and defends the environmentally sound recovery and recycling of building materials. CDRA is the ESTABLISHED FORUM for construction and demolition recycling, serving a national membership base for (30) years. CDRA provides representation with regulators and legislators, engages in market development for recycled materials, and facilitates industry education and networking. Its members include recyclers and secondary processors, manufacturers, distributors, waste generators, contractors, engineering firms, equipment providers, insurance and financing firms, and government agencies.
