End Markets & OperationsExecutive Director Terri Ward welcomed the group, recognized new members and shared some background about CDRA on behalf of the Chair, Will Hancock. She then shared the latest update on the work of the Alternative Daily Cover (ADC) subcommittee. The group discussed the fact that perceptions of C&D fines products are not always positive. Their thinking is that repositioning and standardizing how we talk about ADC and promoting the value of the material could be useful to industry players and regulators alike. Read More
Shingle Recycling
Dan Horton, Chair of the committee welcomed our new Co-Chair, Shane Gillies of the Asphalt Institute, and committee members from both sides of the Atlantic on June 10th! Shane shared information on the varying types of asphalt, the current sources of crude by location, which can result in increased transportation costs, and the electricity and thermal energy currently needed to produce asphalt. Whether it’s concrete brick, block, rock or other forms, we aim to share useful information on this important end market and cover the latest technologies through these meetings. All member representatives are free to join in the conversation. Interim Chair John Thomas and staff member Peter Doherty welcomed many new members to this committee, and John introduced Lauren Asfour from Posillico Materials as the future leader of the committee.
