Interest in recycling roofing materials is growing because of circularity demands, higher oil prices, and government initiatives. To ensure the environmental benefits of recycled materials are properly factored into important policy decisions, CDRA members met with US EPA representatives and commented on the agency’s latest WARM Model revision v16.

Chicago, Illinois (March 1, 2022) – The Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) is proud to announce its 2022 Best Practices in Safety award recipients:

Cyclic Aliphatic Bromide Cluster (HBCD) is a chemical no longer used in foam panel insulation, and even when it was used, it was a small part of the total number of foam panels manufactured. Today, the best estimates are that foam panels containing HBCD make up about .015 percent of the C&D waste stream, making it virtually non-existent.

The Executive Committee of the CDRA is proposing adjustments to the Bylaws of the Association, to be discussed and considered at the Board of Directors meeting taking place in Atlanta, GA during the C&D World Annual Conference.
