Annual Members' Meeting in Las Vegas is March 15 2023

As communicated to members on February 13th, the annual meeting will be held on March 15th in Las Vegas, NV as part of the C&D World Annual Conference. The meeting will be held in the Versailles Ballroom of the Paris Hotel, which is also the location for C&D World. The meeting will begin at 9:00 local time. We will begin with an awards ceremony, honoring our Member of the Year and Recycler of the Year. The meeting is expected to conclude at 10:00 local time.

Recycling Pioneer and Early CDRA Supporter Theodore Ondrick Passes Away at 80

Theodore “Tadj” Ondrick, Chicopee, MA, passed away on May 28 surrounded by his family. He was 80 years old.

Tadj had a terrific work ethic that allowed him, along with his wife of 50 years, Pamela, to build up his father’s construction company, including beginning the recycling of concrete and asphalt more than 30 years ago. Tadj was an original board member of the CDRA and an early inductee into the C&D Hall of Fame. During the early days of the CDRA, there was no stronger supporter of the organization’s mission. The tradition of recycling lives on at Ondrick Material and Recycling through his two sons, Adam and Todd. The CDRA extends its condolences to the entire Ondrick family.

DTG Recycle Increases Minimum Wage to $16 an Hour and Invests in Employee Training to Support Expansion

DTG Recycle, the largest recycler of C&D, industrial and manufacturing waste in the Pacific Northwest, has increased wages for all employees to a minimum of $16 an hour. The new wage affects nearly 300 workers in Washington State. Hourly employees also receive an automatic one percent increase in wages every 90 days.

R & B Debris Announces the Purchase and Installation of a Trailer Tipper at the BRADS Landfill Located in Pottsville, PA

R & B Debris announces the purchase and installation of a trailer tipper at the BRADS Landfill located in Pottsville, Pa. The installation of the tipper will now allow tipper trailers to effectively dump C & D waste at the facility along with walking floor and dump trailers. The tipper will be free to use for all R & B customers but a $35 per tip fee will be assessed by the landfill for all others choosing to utilize the service. With 1000 tons of daily airspace capacity at BRADS, R & B is poised to provide their customers with an affordable disposal solution for many years to come. “The installation of the tipper at the BRADS facility shows not only our commitment to the facility and surrounding community but to our customers as well” stated the president of R & B, John Thomas. He went on to say “The partnership between R & B and BRADS will yield a state-of-the-art long-term disposal solution for our network of transfer station operators who rely on us to dispose of their C & D material annually.  This collaboration is the result of months of hard work by the landfill staff, the Township and R & B personnel.”
