During its board meeting on October 3, 2023, the board of directors of the Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) named industry veteran Terri Ward as its Executive Director and CEO. Ms. Ward had been acting as a special advisor to the board’s executive committee and assumes her new role immediately. NEWS RELEASE: Coastal Waste & Recycling Partners with Volvo CE and Mack Trucks to Bring Electrification to South Florida
Chicago, IL (January 25, 2024) – The Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) has announced the recipients of its Safety Awards ahead of the 2024 C&D World Convention. This year, CDRA received a record number of member companies with qualification for the Best Practices in Safety Award, underscoring the industry's unwavering dedication to safety.
As communicated to members on February 13th, the annual meeting will be held on March 15th in Las Vegas, NV as part of the C&D World Annual Conference. The meeting will be held in the Versailles Ballroom of the Paris Hotel, which is also the location for C&D World. The meeting will begin at 9:00 local time. We will begin with an awards ceremony, honoring our Member of the Year and Recycler of the Year. The meeting is expected to conclude at 10:00 local time.
Tadj had a terrific work ethic that allowed him, along with his wife of 50 years, Pamela, to build up his father’s construction company, including beginning the recycling of concrete and asphalt more than 30 years ago. Tadj was an original board member of the CDRA and an early inductee into the C&D Hall of Fame. During the early days of the CDRA, there was no stronger supporter of the organization’s mission. The tradition of recycling lives on at Ondrick Material and Recycling through his two sons, Adam and Todd. The CDRA extends its condolences to the entire Ondrick family.

Seattle, Wash. – On Aug. 16, The United Group announced the completion of the acquisition of K.T. Recycling, a container services company located in Seattle. The United Group is the recycling leader in the Puget Sound, with the highest diversion rates and seven divisions focused on construction-demolition and metal recycling, landscape material production and container services. Under the deal, K.T. Recycling will be known as K.T. Recycling & Container.
Rotochopper, Inc. has announced a new partnership agreement with Lindner Recycling, Inc., headquartered in Spittal/Drau, Austria. Under the new agreement, Rotochopper will now offer sales representation and service support for the DK and Atlas models of the Lindner shredder product lines.
Patrick Dauria has been named General Manager of R&B Debris, as announced today by John Thomas, President. In his new role, Dauria will oversee all operations for the South Jersey-based company which provides transportation and disposal solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
DTG Recycle, the largest recycler of C&D, industrial and manufacturing waste in the Northwest, is proud to announce the acquisition of Anderson Rock and Demolition Pit, a limited purposes landfill for construction and demolition materials located in Eastern Washington at 41 Rocky Top Road, Yakima, WA 98908.
DTG Recycle, the largest recycler of C&D, industrial and manufacturing waste in the Pacific Northwest, has increased wages for all employees to a minimum of $16 an hour. The new wage affects nearly 300 workers in Washington State. Hourly employees also receive an automatic one percent increase in wages every 90 days.
R & B Debris announces the purchase and installation of a trailer tipper at the BRADS Landfill located in Pottsville, Pa. The installation of the tipper will now allow tipper trailers to effectively dump C & D waste at the facility along with walking floor and dump trailers. The tipper will be free to use for all R & B customers but a $35 per tip fee will be assessed by the landfill for all others choosing to utilize the service. With 1000 tons of daily airspace capacity at BRADS, R & B is poised to provide their customers with an affordable disposal solution for many years to come. “The installation of the tipper at the BRADS facility shows not only our commitment to the facility and surrounding community but to our customers as well” stated the president of R & B, John Thomas. He went on to say “The partnership between R & B and BRADS will yield a state-of-the-art long-term disposal solution for our network of transfer station operators who rely on us to dispose of their C & D material annually. This collaboration is the result of months of hard work by the landfill staff, the Township and R & B personnel.”
